MetroBus Works - Long delays on routes 7C and 6C

Due to the construction of the MetroBus network and the associated roadworks, we are experiencing high levels of congestion on Bradley Stoke Way, Patchway Brook Roundabout, Brook Way, Bowsland Way, Woodlands Lane, Pear Tree Road and A38 Gloucester Road between the M5 and Aztec West. This is causing long delays on route 7C (2 buses) in the morning and routes 7C and 6C in the afternoon. We are also experiencing high levels of congestion in the morning through Winterbourne and Stoke Gifford on all approaches to Parkway Train Station.
We apologise for the delays, unfortunately this is beyond our control and there are no reasonable alternatives to the current arrangements.

Important Notice - K.L.B. Bus Services

Due to the high number of students using our bus services to K.L.B. School, we have
implemented some immediate changes to prevent overloading and ensure
passenger safety. Details below:

AM
Both route 8 and 8A will now have a double deck bus on these services.
Route 8 will operate 5 minutes earlier due to the bus being unable to go
under the railway bridges at Wickwar and will operate via Charfield instead.
All passengers that wish to get on at Peg Hill are requested to use 8A at 07:45.
This will ensure that students arrive at K.L.B. School on time.

PM

All three routes will be operated as normal with the exception of route 8A
which will be a double deck bus and we request that all passengers wishing
to travel to Peg Hill use this service as route 8B will no longer stop at Peg Hill.
Unfortunately this will mean that the arrival time for passengers travelling
to Peg Hill will be approximately 15:10.

Passenger numbers will continue to be monitored across all routes on a daily basis to
ensure that an appropriate vehicle is put on the route to avoid overloading.
